How to Go to Star Hill/Bukit Bintang ( Pavilion) from KLCC

I had tremendous fun and tiring schedule last weekend. My family house in Malacca doing a small gathering inviting some relatives and it's tiring helping my mum prepared everything..

my bff's and her fiancee in da house..

Then Sunday morning woke up pretty early for going back to KL and becoming tourist guide for my bro and his friends..

First stop KLCC Aquaria.. Malaysian need to pay Rm35 for entrance..

my bro and friends.. he's done his shopping at UniQlo ( shopping so much oh)..he he

And then we wanted to do more shopping so decided on going to Bukit Bintang / Star Hill..well i know that KLCC and Times Square and Sg Wang Plaza in the same area but i don't really know other way than taking back the Putra LRT..but it will be a waste of time if so..then i ask around and get to know another way which is by walking..

Around 20 minutes we arrive behind Pavilion there from KLCC..

HOw ?

First you must go to Aquaria KLCC..then there's a tunnel leading up to the main street and take right when you got out from the building. Immediately you'll see a skywalk. Just use the skywalk and see the sign posted for direction. It was convenient, air cond and totally saving time and money. Around 15/20 minutes you'll arrive at Pavilion and you can descent from there going to whatever shopping complexes you wanted in Bukit Bintang.

I got 4 clothes, 1 skirt and 1 specs( need new one) and all sponsored by my bro..he he thanks bro for whole day free shopping sprees, eat and sight seeing- that would be thanks to me (^;^)...

Opportunity Vs The Real Life

Sighh.. i just felt uncertain..i've received one call this morning about new job that i've succeeded to get after the interview i've gone to. It's in PJ and it's far away from where i'm currently based now. But the basic was good and the incentive, oh my (think on 15% EPF contribution by the company and first class hospitalization from private hospital), since they are basically Listed Company but i've said No cause i'm worried about  the distant to travel to work and time consume if i got caught in Traffic Jam..now i don't need to pay for transport cause i'm 5 min away from home and 20 min if i'm a walking snail..my office hour started at 9 a.m till 5.30p.m and i can sleep till 8a.m if i want to..and before 6p.m i've reach house already..not gonna happen if i'm working in PJ..

I hope i'm doing the right thing cause the main thing i reject the offer also because my current boss promise a big raise early July and a big bonus for now increasing sales and also the fact that i won't back down and left certain someone in the office to reap off the benefits while i'm starting over some place unknown.

I hope i'm doing the right choice and hopefully the big bonus gonna come in and my salary gonna hike up again..with both hand face up..i'm praying for my choice..

La Gomera, Spanish Buffet & Dining, Neo Damansara

Last Friday nite we went for dinner here.. the buffet price around Rm49.90 and they gave 35% off..press link http://www.lagomera.com.my/ to see the price..

Neo Damansara is at Damansara Perdana and very easy to find. The place was cool in terms of deco and ambiance.  We took outside seat looking at their mini pool.

Main Dish

Seafood Paella which taste like crap...not good..hu hu and blissfully not my choice..it's my dear..ha ha

Spaghetti Bolognese which was decent enough the taste

Tapas - Side Dish

The Fried Crab too creamy..the beef skewers kind a hard to chew..the butter chicken..duh so normal..beef stew just plain usual..the prawn with mushroom and chilli, i don't know where the chilli's hiding and taste not good..

The things that nice we've tried were stuffed squid and lamb stew only..sighh..but anyway we were really stuffed full..

We had free flow of Ice Lemon Tea which was one of the best i've ever tasted..

For me it's not worth it and won't be coming back here anymore..

PTPTN : Should we pay vs Free and Easy Money

I knew there should be by dozens blogs which giving their own opinion on this matters. Some of if maybe rather harsh and some of it totally backing up the idea of  Not Paying PTPTN. I have vague understanding on this matters cause i hated news nowadays. I just open up STAR to read on the cartoons and TV program.

But it's hard to miss the drama that have been laid out on front page so i take a sneak peek on it. I am one of students who got debt with PTPTN and i'm ashamed to say that i've been not paying them cause i'm pretty not cool with my balance wasn't going down after paying some months during first years i got a job. Now i'm waiting to pay using my EPF /KWSP but i have no time to run up and down EPF and PTPTN..but i'm paying cause i'm the one who has been using the money..so it's a responsibility that i have to take on my own..

I don't agree that we should not paid back PTPTN cause we already got too much leniency in this matter. How many FREE things we want from government. Yup maybe you'll said it's taxpayer money...bla bla bla..and your dad pay tax..bla bla bla..but i don't think most of the students who been receiving PTPTN has dad who paid tax.. that's why we got the loan right ? we don't have dad who can afford to pay tax and paid off our college fees..just saying

If you want to fight, why not fight for grade A students who got pointer more than 3.5/ 4 ( i'm one of them..hu hu) don't need to pay the loan. Then it's fair for me. Cause these students study hard and really need to be given reprieve for them to further studies. Only then we can have more professional students in Malaysia who owed his/her country for their success.. and less of them will choose to stay overseas..
FREE things will only make our nation grew weak.. there will be less survival instinct.. only country with a lot of competitor and so little chance end up being a great country..

Hot Pot Restaurant & Cafe, Damansara Damai

This was where we both dine out for dinner on Sunday. It was one of our fav spot and we are one of their loyal customer.  We've been eating here since they are using plastic glass until now. Our fav foods and our order mostly the same every time we come..

Gulai Lemak Cili Api Daging Salai ( Smoke Beef with Chili Sauce) Rm7.90 or Rm6.90...can't remember

Black Pepper Lamb Rm6.90

And my fav Desert that inspired me to do the recipe..see my previous baking on Butter Bread Pudding

Rm 4 something..

The deco was awesome but the price were tad bit expensive for Damansara Damai people so not so many people will dine at time. They'll played blues music all the time and it's soothing to just hang out..they got live band sometimes but i don't remember what day.. the portion was not big for such price but the taste won it for me..and i come for their Gulai Lemak Cili Api Daging Salai and the Butter Bread Pudding..

My bill was around Rm32 ++..and if you want to come here it is situated in Damansara Damai. Find Econsave and go down the road from there.. it is at the Shop lot near a workshop..

Asapanas Bistro Barbecue & Steamboat Buffet, Selayang

Last Friday night we went for bonding nights with my friends and like usual it was my plan..i saw this post on Facebook regarding all you can eat halal buffet steamboat and barbecue for Rm19.90 only and it's near in Selayang. So i call out my army of bff's and ask them for dinner. Since one of them coming down from Penang so we make it Friday night..

First of all i don't really like the barbecue Pan and since they are using this gas stove it's worse. Some side was hot but some side was not so the eating experience was not smooth until towards the end when it's getting hot on my side. But it's big enough and don't have a drain like some Korean barbecue pan which a bonus..

The selection of food was disappointing. Luckily they have marinated beef, chicken and prawns. It would be nice if they have slices of fish and crab..bottom line the selection was not good and in the end we're just eating prawns and beef..the marinated beef was good with lemon grass but it's a bit too salty..should lessen the salt and it would be really good..

The service and the owner was good and i like them..but the top up was a bit slow since the prawn was the main event..and it's looking not really fresh..

Desert was close to none. There were fruit cock tails which they'll serve you and oranges..no ice cream and the drink was a bit Malay i should say..Sirap and some blue stuff with lime. Anyway i was telling my dear it's what Rm19.90 gave you..luckily the food tastes nicer than the Pandan Indah one..that one was horrible and expensive too..

For those interested to go Asapanas Bistro located behind Esso at the Selayang Stadium..easy to find..

Me and Zura..the others i don't have time to capture..too bz eating..he he

Battleship 2D

Honestly i don't know what's the different between 2d and normal since it's like usual only but because it's much early and the ticket also up Rm1..from Rm12 normal to Rm13 for 2D then we took it..

Honestly the main actor just sucks..Rihanna act better than him - Taylor Kitsch..he just awkward..like seeing Tom Cruise ( he's bad at acting..no wonder only action pack Mission Impossible only succeed) acting..luckily it's an action pack so we got to see less of him acting and more action which saving the movie from total disaster..

And of course we got to see the Alien's face which is rare like so many other movies which don't have budget to create the aliens..so thumbs up for actions and plot but thumbs down for the main actor..i rather he just shut up and show his muscle..duhh

I love Captain Nagata though..he he

Mohd Chan Abdullah Restaurant Wangsa Maju

 Barbeque Pau RM1.70

Kam Heong Fried Rice Rm 6.50

Wantan Mee with Roast Duck Rm 7

Ham Choy Taufoo Soup / Salted Vege Soup Rm 6 -small

Yesterday we went for Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan again for lunch. We were suppose to look for some gerai that has been featured in Eating program but since we are not really familiar with this place we can't find it. Since my stomach already really hungry than i proposed we eat here since accidentally we saw this place. I know it's well known also for the owner is Chinese Muslim and it serves Chinese Halal Cuisine.

First of all we took Chicken Dim Sum Rm3.80 which was not been captured since i'm so hungry and only remembered when already in my stomach and dear..but i manage to catch the Pau before it's finish. It was nice..the Dim Sum and also the Pau..it was so soft and i guess it has been made them self.

My Roast Duck Wantan Mee tasted really good but my dear said the duck was a bit hard..for me it's perfect as it it..the Fried Rice was a lot and it's spicy and it's good also..and i loves the soup but you should eat it when it's hot otherwise it will taste not so good.

Overall it was so nice and i was full this night lucky for me cause after that we went to my dear aunts house..so our total bill were Rm27 something inclusive water. Mine was Chinese Tea Rm 0.80 and my dear ordered Home Made Flower Tea Rm1.70..

Black Sugarcane and Small Mango

My dad is not the type to waste time and do nothing sort of guys so he planted a lot of thing around our house. Since the area quite big so we have our own Mango Tree, Pineapple, 2 types of Sugarcane ( normal and black one) and tapioca, rambutans, bananas and chillies.. i think we also got Jack fruit..

Anyway my bff loves Sugarcane and i was visiting her when i took the pictures.. it's fun to have house in the village and have all these fruits around you.. and since my mom from Perak we got a lot of free Durians when the times come for it cause we have our own plantation.. and not to forget beautiful Paddy field..sighhh...i'm so lucky when i think about it..to have both life in city and village..serene and hectic..what a combo..

Apam Polkadot Recipe - Baking Day

Saw a lot of person baking this desert and the colors were marvelous..  actually this was my first try and i admit i never been any good with baking..cooking i can say i'm moderate la..he he.. so i follow the recipe on a magazine..this month Saji.. they use coloring meanwhile i opted for more nature and using Daun Pandan..sighh..hence the pitiful colors.

Flour 230grm
Fresh Milk 150ml
1 Tea spoon baking powder
1 Tea spoon Ovellete
Egg 3pcs
Castor Sugar
Filling like chocolate, jams or anything
Coloring

We do not put it in the oven instead we steam it for 10 minutes..i use 12 minutes instead..the nice round thing-y you can achieved by  piping it on the doh..yeah i knew my APAM lack of color and size..anyway at least i try (^;^) he he

I normally bakes something or cooked something on weekend..it's nice to enjoy eating in and trying new recipes.. and seeing people actually eat it makes you feel proud of yourself..
