Guess where I'm writing from..Pulau Pangkor!

We're here in Pangkor Island. Celebrating the New Year  here and having a water blast everyday. Wow, it hurts my body going into sea so often but i just loves it. And the weather is just nice. Yesterday it's hot and cloudy and today it's drizzling a bit in the evening. 

We were riding a motorcycle around the island and walking along the beach pretty a lot. I can barely feel my leg..ha ha..

Anyway let's save my journey for until i return from this fun-tastic vacation..xoxo

Last Working Day on 2012

Today is my last day of working for 2012. Yeay..superb and i'll be on holiday and getting back to works on 2nd of January. Sadly my initial plan for holiday have to be cancel due to flood in the eastern zone. So sad cause my one month plan ruined already. But fraid not cause i've got back up..

Even though it's a last minute deal and it's hard to get a place to stay but we manage it..i think..still haven't pass by the date yet..

Anyway we are still going for holiday ;)  and hopefully all will be well..

Winter Solstice or Dong Zhi Festival

It falls on 21st Dec 2012 this year. I remember last year i rolled the Tong Yuen myself. Plain with nothing in it but in lovely 3 colours. Pink, white and green. It's the first time i ever tried and do Tong Yuen plus the ginger soup. I doesn't even know what it's should taste before i do that. This year cause it falls on Friday and since i've known what to expect i am much more confident in making it.

But like i said it's Friday..working day and thus i resulted to buying the froze type tong yuen. But of course i had to make the soup myself and to dunk the tong yuen in hot water as well. But in the end it's all worth it the effort of making it. My dear likes it and i'm happy for him. He can count on me for his tong yuen and maybe next year we do it from scratch. That ought ta be fun..

Anyway it's just fun having differ culture and seeing everyone celebrated it in Malaysia. And we're joining the fun no matter what's our race. I guess it should always be like that since we live in multi cultural country.

So i might be late but Happy Dong Zhi festival everyone..let ur heart feels the love and let your mouth speak it out.. life is short, family is comfort and happiness doesn't come expensive..

Thai Style Tofu Recipe - My All time cravings

I craved this food a lot and my dear has been making it for me twice. First i tasted it at Bird's Restaurant,Menjalara and i really like it. But you know la eating out so expensive and you can do it yourself as it is so simple.. this time my dear do so elaborately la for me..

Buy white Tofu - tahu putih, and chop it into small square pieces..

Then deep fried it in hot oil.. don't put too much in one go..for crispy feeling fry it twice.. 

Then you just need to chop some onions - the Indian red one k.. and if u like cucumber and some chillis also can..

Buy Thai sauce in the supermarket..not the thick maggi type..  the small bottle sauce type and pour it..it is so easy and so cheap if you do this yourself..

Basically that's it..other stuff just optional really.. and if you got the right sauce it will be as tasty as eating at the restaurant ;)

Dating Day : Mon't Kiara

Well it's been a while since we last been here..last time we went here to get a bite at Tony Roma's only.. just been back from our dating date there. We actually went here for the street market. I can tell you it's not happening any longer. Last week we went to The Curve street market and the same situation over there.. Just only a double row in the middle of the curve street. No more lotsa lotsa of stuff selling there. I think they just went ahead with much cheaper venue such as Jaya One and so on..

So, we went to Mon't Kiara and the street market was more pathetic than The Curve one. We just head on to Subway for sandwiches and then to One  Mon't Kiara which by the way much more happening than outside. A little bit shopping and here we are at CC waiting for someone to finish up doing something so that we can meet up and yam cha..

 New places every week for our dating day and lots of activities together.. such a small comfort and a warm feelings.. so ciao for now cause i still got to enjoy my day today ;)

Tony Roma's Double Ribs Combo

Yesterday we were having lunch at Tony Roma's The Curve. We were so full even though we shared one dish. I just have this urged to eat their ribs and it's wonderfully tasty to me.

I saw this new stuff, Lamb ribs and i want to try it..last time we went to eat the ribs at One Mont Kiara but this time we went to The Curve which actually really near to us. After walking around the street market a bit then we went for lunch.

We ordered bottomless juice.. each Rm8.90.. mine : Orange Juice, dear : Pineapple ( yucks)..

I tell you i loved this bread and the butter so much..

Then we got the Combo Beef Ribs + Lamb Ribs + 2 side orders ( we choose mash potatoes n french fries) = Rm69.90

It was superb i tell you. I think this outlet served deliciously from Mont Kiara one.


I was like licking the ribs and hold it with my fingers.. the plum sauce was so good.. you should really try the Lamb ribs when you come here.. and this combo really make us full..we have previous  experience and we knew one dish enough already for both of us and believe me that my dear really have healthy appetite..

For that combo you'll get 2 beef ribs and 1 lamb ribs..

Overall bill ( i'm paying since on Saturday my dear already belanja me buffet lunch for Japanese food which awesome as usual and expensive..he he) was Rm 101.70.. their service is so nice they even gave us mentos and came to refill our drink twice.. in Mont Kiara they just ignored you.. bastards!!

Dating Day : Watching last sequel of Twilight

Damnnnn boring i tell you.. that Kirsten really know how to mumble only.. and that Edward also kind of same.. i think the director was a bad one..

The adaptation of this movie is not spot on.. i know some movies from books getting major makeover because of certain crazy aspect that cannot be made appear on screen. But they still look good and exciting.. Not the same comment can be made for Twilight. It has been major disappointment for me from the first movie. 

Anyway since there's no more other interesting movie we had to watch this..

Isn't it obvious.. i like to plan things..like where to go for holidays..what new restaurant i want to try..what type of food i would like to taste..i just like to plan the fun stuff in life..

Where to shop? Where got sales i can go..actually sales is not about the money but about how much you can get smug for saving while others have to pay big bucks for same stuff..

December is just around the corner and i long for vacation somewhere and we are actually planning on it.. wow just thinking about the incoming vacation makes me excited.. and that place is one on my wishlist.. double excited to that.. i've been surfing and looking out for where to stay, what to eat and activities to do while being there..

So..stay excited for me cause i'm going to cross another wishes from my wish list... (^;-)..

Murni's Cafe, Kepong

One of the quite well known eateries. The most famous one located in PJ. This is one of their branch and it's nearest to me. If you familiar to Kepong then it is in the same row as KWSP which located near Carrefour there.

Murni famous for their wide selection, price and the quantity of the food. So, there's just so much you can try here such as Asean delights, Malay Food, Western, Mamak style and much more. They also got their signature drinks such as mocktails and normal stuff with weird names. You can probably relate this cafe with Williams Corner - Kelana Jaya which i've been frequented in the past but they got no menu and bigger price tag. 

Anyway since i'm craving for Ribena Lychee i'll close my eyes to their specialty of mock tails. We went there last Sunday only for dinner.

Restoran Jabina, Pandan Indah

We are not really expert on Pandan Indah's eatery so we tried whatever caught our fancy and on Friday we tried this almost Thai style eatery.

There's a lot of Thai style food here..

Tom Yam Pok Tek Rm13

Udang Petai Rm 4.50 

Anyway  it's quite good and Thai-ish..this restaurant near to Petronas station in Pandan Indah. The price also quite cheap and there's a lot of people eating in. There are lots of choices such as Chicken Rice, Soups and so on. I like their Rojak buah as well. 

So, if you have no idea where to eat in Pandan Indah, there you have it..

Another one married

Just coming back from work today since yesterday once more we got free holiday from company. One by one my friends were hitched. On Saturday we travel to Sepang for the wedding. She's so pretty and i'm happy for her. 

She used to help me a lot in Economics and Finance..really good with numbers this one.. anyway it was quite a tedious job finding her house in a place we barely knew. But eventually we get there safely and went back full..

So, congrats my dear and may you have a happy family of your own..

Dine In during Holiday..Classy

The long holiday tend to make me a lazy bums.. it is more relaxing being at house than with a lot of other people outside it.. So as i enjoy the serenity of being off from slavery at work i need to eat also.. then come a man who become my lazy ness savior and cooked for me..yeay for that and yummy for my tummy..

So many holiday when nearly end of the year..anyway as long as salary still keep going it doesn't matter for me..

Starting tomorrow i'll get 3 days off and will come back to work on Friday only..wow..ha ha so nice leh this week for me..

Dating Day : Genting Highland Strawberry Park

I've been eye-ING for a room and it's kind a impossible to get one during week ends some more with all this holidays..so we opt out for a day out instead.. coming up early in the morning it was so cold and the road was full of mist.. it exhilarating.. you can't barely see what's in front of you..

We went to park our car at First World Hotel first for some sight seeing and walking around.. then i got hungry soon after and having my breakfast there..after a while it got bored so we continue down south for our original purpose of coming here..

The Strawberry Park

It is located at Gohtong Jaya.. when you see Hotel Seri Malaysia just take that turn at the round the bout .. just look for the sign and it's so easy to find.. the entrance is free and the area is quite big.. you went in and see Strawberry Park where you can pick your own strawberries and then there are Organic Vege Farms with cheap vegies for sale..

Min picking = 100gram
100gram = Rm8

Even though they sold pre-pack for around Rm15 i rather pick it up myself..it's just fun and it's actually one kind of experience.. you feel really happy and glad for it..

After picking out our Strawberries, me and my dear bought some organic vegies..which were quite cheap.. 3 for Rm10 and we got zucchinis, salad and cherry tomatoes.. after some walking around we went to Gohtong Jaya for some lovely foods..yummy..

Anyway it's a nice day for us and a new experience to boot..so don't just go up there for theme park and take time to just chill out with the nature.. 

My Deal - Tint Solution, Setapak

I just loves deals..especially cheap deal which save you a lot of money..sometimes i just felt like bragging when i get the best of deals.. and i really felt like bragging about my car tinted that i got much cheaper than my bro..

My bro got his car tinted for around Rm150 but mine just beat that to the ground when i got the deal at Rm99 only.. it was awesome and it's a good deal..the tinted is just same as normal tinted you got at higher price. It gave me 3 years warranty as well.. and my car looks quite dark with it..just the way i wanted.. 

It really felt differ from before cause now it doesn't feel over heated under the sun and i just loves it..for the value and for the tinted itself..

So make a wise decision and save up.. and you will smile when you think how smart you are amongst your friends and family who doesn't believe in discounted websites.. (^;^)

Sakura Kristal, KL Festival City Mall

Yeay, finally i can scratch away Festival City Mall from my list of Malls i wanted to go.. on Saturday whilst waiting for my car being tinted on the opposite side of the mall..my dear and me walk across the big road to cari makan here..it was quite big and full of tenants. It's quite nice also and you can do your sopping here as well..

Cause we're also here for lunch then we are looking for a number of choices and settle for Sakura Kristal.. always wanted to try this one cause i've read a lot of good comments about it.. since the price of Asean Delight was slightly expensive we set on something differ. It's like a rule for us..if you can get Mee Goreng for less, say Rm4, why you want to go to a place like this and order Mee Goreng that priced Rm8.. even thought it's the cheapest..duhh..we opted for something differ and rarely eaten even with a big price tag..

This time we went for Mixed Grill Platter..

It was quite big and we were ordering just this one for both of us. It was quite generous serving and i especially like the lamb..it was superb.. the chicken grill also was awesome..it's hard to actually find food that really grilled to perfection.. and tasty..they gave us 1 bowl of black pepper sauce and it's good.. the side dishes would make you full..they gave you 1 sausages, sunny side egg, potato wedges and coleslaw as well..

Dating Day and Super Cute Pillow

We always have our dating day..just a day to chill out, dating and eating.. we went for Sushi yesterday since i really felt like eating it..since there are no interesting movie to watch we just walk around a bit and my dear bought this cute pillow for me..it is quite long actually and quite comfy for a lay back day in front of the tv..

I actually got 2 small size one in my car and this was accidentally stumble upon a big size one..anyway it's super cute for me and i lovesss it so much..

Tanjung Bidara - A day at the beach

Last Friday was Eid Adha meaning where we got a lots of beef meat for free.. and it means holiday time..

Well as my hometown is in Melaka then there just so many places one's can go and during this time Melaka will be pack with tourist ( sighh..really hate that) so we just went to the sea side instead.. we arrive at noon and stayed, played and fishing until around 6 in the evening..

 Usaha menyelamatkan ikan gelama yang dapat di pancing..he he sadly it died eventually..

It was so much fun and there were less people around us so we were having such a wonderful time..since i left my camera in the car the pictures just have to wait (^;^)

Restoran Mohd Chan Abdullah, Wangsa Maju - Updated

Last Thursday i went there to eat since last time it was good. And i'm so totally frustrated with the food. It was terrible..i don't know what happen to this restaurant..

I actually felt like eating Ham Choy soup cause the first time i came it was so good, so refreshing. But this time it was looking more like Tom Yam soup and the tartness was really off. 

It's good to say that i am never coming back there..sighh..minus one more food place for us..

Cinnamon, One World Hotel Lunch Buffet

I'm just back from lunch buffet in Cinnamon. Actually it's been 3 years we celebrate my boss's birthday here. Before that we used to go to Equatorial Hotel in Jalan Ampang. But because it's too far and it's kind off lacks in food so we switch to much nearer One World Hotel. 

First year we went there was quite superb. I especially like the mousse desert. And there are quite a variety to choose from. Second year it's getting worse and today it get worsen. Yeah they still have those regular Sushi/Sashimi Bar, no roasted lamb this time and normal stuff like sate, dim sum, nasi ayam and stuff like that la. This year i think more traditional and the spaghetti aren't as good as last time.

The desert? Just normal cakes, few tarts ( which i ate the filling and throw away the shells) and yeah they have that chocolate fountain and so on. But no mousse. That really tasty thing no more. I'm so disappointed. I actually ate rather little today. 

But anyway it's free lunch so what the hell..

I don't know..i've been eating in a lot of places i just don't know where to go anymore..anyway when we make a list of where we want to go and what we wanted we will see it and eventually got it through our efforts. That's why i really loves to have list especially where i want to go next for eating rendezvous..cioa!

Resident Evil : Retribution

Yesterday nite we went for this movie since we always watch all the sequence. I like Li Bing Bing..she's just super cute but in the movie it's just over rated.. i mean she should be kicking ass not getting caught and fainted and only revive after the villains has been squished.. it's just wrong man..

Anyhow this movie is more like a starter for more movies to come. Like usual you can count on the actions and the no of people dying..there's more monster in here than zombies and in the end it looks like a medieval battle between human and dragons will be next on their sequel. 

It's a yes no kind of feeling for me watching this movie..but it's not bad cause it's action..so then it's a must watch when you bored kinda movie i think !!

Humble Beginnings Mille Crepe Bangsar - Superb!

It was awesome..so tasty and i've mentioning to my dear to tried it for so long..and yesterday we went to Bangsar and ate it..and it's worth it..i can still vision the tasty taste and regretting not doing the take out..hu hu

This was my slice of Mille Crepe..Vanilla Flavor.. It's creamy and smooth and not so sweet..it's just purrrfect..

My dear took the Cheese Flavor which i stole almost quarter from his plate..it was yummy as well..i cannot said anything or comment cause it's just so freaking good..so try it to believe it! 

The Mille crepe priced at Rm9 something. It's just a small shop in Jalan Telawi Bangsar.. beside the Subway..you find Subway and you'll sure find this place..

2 Hari Sebelum Bercuti Lagi

It's just the season to be jolly.. Another 2 days before another 3 days holiday..and this week we are not so workable.. it's still Raya and will be on holiday again..

Having a job that require 5 days a week and office hour schedule is awesome.. you got a lot of times to spare for yourself and the salary is great..

It's more to being productive using your mind than using your physical.. and you don't have to slave for 12 hours to earn minimum wages.. I guess education really is important..

I guess i'm babbling away again..i'm hungry..i guess i'll go down to buy something..

Jalan - Jalan Raya

ok..obviously we were insane..that picture is what happen when you yell to them spontan pictures..they were so crazy..ha ha..luv them so much.. Yesterday we went for makan-makan..first stop bukit antarabangsa and then Hulu Langat..

  

Still Raya is one month so there are so many houses we have to go and just enjoy being with family and friends..  Selamat Hari Raya ;)

 

  

Resipi Mudah Rendang Ayam

Resipi ni memang sangat mudah bagi orang yang tak pernah buat..dan bahan-bahannya pun tak sebanyak mana..

Cili Api 1 genggam
Santan Kelapa - 1 1/2 biji santan pekat
Serai 5 batang diracik untuk di kisar
Serai 2 batang tumbuk hujung dengan lesung
Bawang Merah Besar 2 biji
Bawang Putih 5 ulas
Halia sebesar ibu jari
Kunyit hidup dalam 4 inci
Kerisik
Daun Kunyit
Ayam seekor potong kecil

Cara-caranya

1. Blender bawang putih, bawang merah dan halia sekali
2. Blender serai
3. Blender Cili Api dengan kunyit

4. Tumis no 1 dahulu..naik bau tumis no 2 dan seterusnya masuk no 3.. boleh letak bunga lawang atau kulit kayu manis kalau suka..

5. Masukkan ayam dan gaul semua sekali..

6. Masukkan santan sampai tutup ayam tu kemudian letak garam atau bahan perasa- macam saya memang tak pakai ajinamoto so garam jela dengan gula sikit dan serai yang ditumbuk hujungnya tadi..kacau selalu sampai hampir kering masukkan dalam 3 atau 4 sudu besar kerisik..

7. Masukkan daun kunyit yang telah di racik halus.. jaga api jangan terlalu besar dan masak sampai kering atau mengikut kesukaan anda..

Sudah siap..memang amat mudah dan tak banyak bahan yang diperlukan..dah 2 kali buat memang marvelous.. he he

It's an awfully long holiday for me this year..and i will start work on Monday..then working 4 days and then holiday again..

Just now i just went back from Berjaya Times Square with my dear since i was quite bored and i wanted a new shoes..he he..the traffic was clear and we have no problem with the parking too..so all was running smoothly..i got a pair of ballerina flat and a blouse. 

Tomorrow we will be on hari raya eat ur heart out visits starting from Bukit Antarabangsa and then to Ulu Langat. I've gain a lot of weights..sob sob but it's ok since happiness was more important than your looks..i think a lot of pretty girl not happy than a moderate kind of girl..so i'm gonna stick with my interesting personality rather than my cute-ness.. ha ha..

Anyway i'll be posting my simple Rendang Ayam recipe next for those who literally never cook one..it's my first time and it's so easy and delicious..that's what my dear said and my aunty confirmation ;)

It's My Birthday

Well last nite my dear celebrate my birthday with cute Japanese style cupcakes.. it were 9 cupcakes with candles marking my age..ha ha ..i love my age..

And i will be on holiday for rest of the weeks in couple of minutes and i feel really good about it too..

Last day of works.. and it's a long holiday..yess!

It's a wonderful year for me in spite of one sad event and i've been so lucky this year..hopefully god above will bestowed HIS goodwill to me always..

KL Festival City Mall, Setapak

Actually i haven't come here yet but when it is still in construction i've been seeing this mall.. since my friends staying near Melawati and working near there so i am tempted to go and lepak here in near future.. 

Since they have a lot of eateries - i'm eyeing the Seoul Garden - and another Mall listed in my conquering list so i guess after Raya will be the best time to go..

Already Thursday today and we will be on holiday starting tomorrow. A really long one and we're packing our bags..hopefully i can get back to normal weight soon enough..

Can't wait till Raya and for us to continue our excursion in eating and traveling.. and shopping...

The Cabins, Taman Melawati

Well it's just sucks when the first meal you ate actually not good..and to double the blow it was being featured in Jalan Jalan Cari Makan which by the way i've been hoax by it's so good comments twice. I remember first time we tried Silver Spoon in TTDI where we got our diarrhea and now this time kinda bad western style from The Cabins..

I am so not going to trust Jalan Jalan Cari Makan again..arghhh..spoil my breakfasting yesterday..

Anyway our food come quite late to the table and so does several other customers..and so kesian to my darling since his food came almost at 8 o'clock..but afterwards when we about to pay they told us they're quite sorry for the service so you're forgiven..but not in term of food taste..

Spaghetti Bolognese Rm9 or 8..just see the gravy..it's not suppose to be so watery..



Chicken Chop Black Pepper Rm 11.. this one taste quite ok



Beef Burger Set comes with mister potato chips and drink below Rm2 - per set Rm12 i think..just so so..quite bland the taste



I think this one was the best amongst other orders..i like this..Plain Nasi Lemas Rm 2.50

The verdict : It's not worth it to try it again.. but thanks to my bff who's paying for this..

It's such a nice view up there..this place near to Menara Tinjau on top of the Ulu Langat hill. With the wind blowing out your face..

Shopping for Raya

First day of work after 3 days of holiday..and i've done a lot of shopping in this 3 days..2 of my brothers came to KL and we just sort off fill in our days with activities.

On Saturday we went to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and believe me you don't want to go there. Luckily i took bus instead of driving. Even so there's so much traffic and people that you just want to get back a.s.a.p. I think we were around that area shopping for just 2 hours and then we cabut. The items also quite expensive and i manage to buy a pair of jeans and a blouse for my mom and one baju kurung for my niece and me.

On Sunday we went to my bff's house in Bukit Antarabangsa for Iftar and after that straight to Danau Kota Uptown Market. There yours truly gets us another cat..sighhh..and my brothers getting them self some items as well. So no luck for me also here and it's quite expensive as well.

On Monday ( public holiday for me..yeay) i accompany my dear for a meeting in Cheras and we went back to grab my brothers and went for shopping in Sg Wang..I need a pair of new spectacles and my brother need shoes and ect2..sighh...it was quite calm and we can actually walk around without bumping to people. I guess not a lot of people get the holiday..

It's totally awesome weekend and splurging was over rated here..

My advise : don't go to Jalan TAR area driving..cause you're gonna make yourself crazy with jam..just take LRT for god sake..

We were quite bored that day and went to see a movie..and there's none interesting enough or other than that we've seen them. So we just went for horror..

To my own horror it was more of a love story than horror movie..sighh..i've been in such a bad luck in making choices of movies nowadays..hopefully there will be good movie soon..

I'm so damn bored..counting time to go back.. faster la 4.30...ooohhhhh....

My Hobby, My Books

So so disappointed in Malaysian reading habit.. doesn't anyone else share my passion for reading English novels..sighh.. or i haven't find a cluster who does ?

Anyway my book group in facebook have already more than 100 members but around 4 or 5 members only are Malays and i think below 10 of them are Malaysian. Others came from other countries in the world.. yup, yippee yai yo..i also doesn't know my books blog quite popular outside Malaysia hence the participants in my Facebook group. But anyway it's just kind a disappointing not able to share the good books with fellow Malaysian..

Sighhh ( big one)..anyway at least we got members who passionate about reading as well as me and for those of us who doesn't have much time to scour book store or library and have less penny in the pockets sharing is the way to go.. and i think Malaysian not a big fan of that..
 

But then why waste money for something you can get for free..

Yeay..mine just arrived.. since we cannot get this brand in Malaysia i have to buy it online.. it's not expensive but there's so many youtuber's using this brand in their tutorial and so i want it badly..

It took me almost one month of waiting since it's bought directly from US as in United State k.. maybe i'll blogged on how does it felt using it in near future.. 

Batman - The Dark Knight Rises

I'm going to vote it sucks, boring and not as expected.. well i've been expecting more since we've seen the trailer with bat jet ( anyway it's ugly) and it was so nice when he had only bat mobile. There's more of him thinking, brooding and fight like a girl than a tough cool Batman.. 

Anyway it's felt like a long movie to me and i must say it's not as good as it should..well this is solely my own opinion and what do i know..i'm just a regular ticket buying movie watcher.. 

Ice Age 4 - Continental Drift

Last Sunday since we had nothing to do we went for a movie..yup, this movie. It's kind of nothing special and i loves Ice Age.. but maybe after so many sequel there's nothing new here..basically it touch our morality on family values such as being too protective of our children until they got no room to learn their mistakes.. 

But anyhow family is still a family no matter what happen..i guess that's the value some family is missing nowadays..

Anyway like i said there's nothing special bout this one so you can save up and but dvd instead..
