What to eat in Melaka : Qasreena Cafe

Melaka is my hometown. And i live in KL for most of my adult life. So whenever i came back i will treasure my mom's cooking hence the almost none knowledge of good food. But my husband is from KL so i need to find somewhere to bring him. Thus the blogwalking commenced. 

Since i'm not fond of going to the historical area which always jam packed, so i wanted something near to Ayer Keroh area. And i found this place nice as a gem. 

The foods are great and the prices are affordable. I often see the drinks price as my benchmark for affordable. And the normal drinks like Milo, Tea and all that are as affordable as normal gerai. The food also nicely price as you can get the Soto at Rm5.50. The tastes are delicious. My mom ate Soto Nasi Impit and they put fried chicken in it. The combination is superb. I ate the fame Mee racun which actually just a spicy Mee Hailam done right. And their fame Cupid Rose which is Ice cream Soda Bandung and everything taste really delicious. 

The price, the portions, the restaurant itself and the taste all match up to become a 5 star restaurant in my judgement. Even my husband who really particular  is satisfied. So, just waze Qasreena Cafe if you're near Ayer Keroh or Bukit Katil area. 

Our meal that day consisted of Mee Racun - Rm5.50, Nasi Goreng Collesium Rm 8 (big portion), Soto Nasi Impit - Rm5.50, Cupid Rose Soda - Rm4.50, Coke something ( coke float), Lai Chee Kang Rm3.50, Lychee Ice and Fries... some i forgot the price but our total for this was Rm40. 

Qasreena served a lot of food ranging from western, seafood, tradional Malay fare and lots of their own combination.

Weekend Gateaway : Balik Kampung

Last weekend we went back to Melaka. Since we gone out from our house pretty late so we're stuck a bit at MRR2. After Sg Besi tol it's smooth sailing until Nilai there where there's a bit of traffic. Anyway at 6p.m we arrive home. Since darling driving this time i am more relax. 

Previous week we spent times with my hubby's family all day and this week mine. Once we arrived straightly Kaka went with her grand mom and me and my darling went out for some night out in the city. We went for Jonker Walk for food fare and a little dating sight seeing. It was great and it's not really jam around the city. 

First time i ate tiny baby crab, RM10. You can find this at Jonker street at night k.

On Sunday we were having barbecue at my house ^^ and darling became the official chef..

We had Lamb, Chicken, potato and Spaghetti Alfredo..yummeh

Long Time No Post - Bro Wedding

I am still alive if you are wondering where the hell am i and why there's no new update on this blog..sighh let me be perasan for a while k..i know whoever you are reading this blog felt none whatsoever feelings about me and my damn day to day life.. 

But i'm still shameless in my pursuit of being perasan to the max. It's my blog anyway and i've been blogging nonsense since like forever..duhh..

For past month i've been busy travelling back to my home town helping my mom with my eldest bro wedding. I like wedding as simple as it can get but my bro like it as grand as it can get..so more work for mastermind like me lah.. anyway all is done and i'm glad the nightmares were over..seriously i love my family but they can drive you crazy sometimes..

 

But then even it's not my wedding my bff's still came to support me and it's their birthday so they got their cakes..between us we can celebrate anything..anywhere..even on my brother's wedding day. I made those cupcakes they're holding..puff..puff -->being proud..ha ha

Anyway my life's never been boring and even when it is, i choose it that way cause i'm a pretty lay back person.. i believe in living life to the fullest but still being responsible in a way you are rational about being on this earth.. whatever you see other people live their life it can never be the same for you cause we all have things we are responsible with like family, friends, expenses, bills to pay and ect..so don't compare yourself and certainly don't take money as everything.. 

Seoul Garden Melaka

I really thought i posted this interesting eatery but alas i've only posted it on my Facebook..actually i've eaten twice at the Seoul Garden One Utama, KL and posted it here Seoul Garden One Utama  but i really wanted my bro to spend us eat in their branch in Melaka - Mahkota Parade. So off we went there..last 2 weeks ago..

And the verdict : I totally smitten with this place. It was a lot better than One Utama and the choices was a plenty. Much more than in KL. The only down side was the salad was not nice and it's a drawback for me since i ate the meat with it..hu hu..overall it was better than One Utama a lot..

Melaka Town

Just come back from town. Wow really jammed. That's why i hated going to town on weekend or when i got back from kl..it's just the worse. It's really a bless that i know short cut and back way to get outta town. 

When holiday or weekend sure tourists ( inside and outside) flocking the Banda Hilir there. Frustrated..i don't even know that Mahkota Parade (MP) changes faces already.

Anyway we spent a great deal of time in town and we even went for Karaoke at the MP and it's quite cheap. In Box Karaoke..we took big Room for an hour at Rm20 only. Surely the selection was oldies but the sound kind of nice..

Last Weekend!

I was sweaty and hot after the struggling of plucking these Rambutans off the tree. My so called sick friend had to climb tree and amputated most of the branches.. ha ha..kesian dia..

 I felt so bad..i was actually visiting her and she end up taking rambutans for me and coconut milk ..she's really the nicest bff i am honored to have..luv u babes ;)

It's a hot day but anyway i managed to get all sweaty and full..and even got to eat her tasty Laksa..how to loose weight like this..sighhh..

Wedding..

Ding dong bell.. ha ha but Malays wedding full of custom..no bell for us..but there's the "kompang" and "Silat pengantin" ..it's pretty exciting actually..

I don't really like attending any wedding but sometimes you just had to..but i am happy for whoever married for love ..

This weekend it's my bff's wedding..luckily they both done their function on the same weekend..anyway one wedding more to go..hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow..hope you both will be happily ever after..

Medan Ikan Bakar Melaka

We actually went there on June cause my bff Shida got engaged. That's her in the red baju kurung (help her choose also along with her fiancee), isn't she sweet. She got a house beside the beach at Tg Bidara and this was taken just after the function ended.Me and bb loves beaches so much..

At night we were out hunting for food again and this time we gone for seafood. Not my fav but hey it is Malaysian way to eat hard and to laugh loud. So we went to Medan Ikan Bakar ??? ..ha ha i am quite confuse but i think it's Umbai one not Serkam.I've been there from small and shamefully i don't know the way either. But if you're there and need me to recommend which stall you should go for..pick the no 1 stall and you got to be there early. They sold out fast and they're really good. Unfortunately we are not fortunate and we've gone to no 10 stall which was ok also. Not so many person since a lot of them chosen the first empty place they could get.

 I know..so chubby..anyway i lose my weight already k..with so many eating out almost all the times..i'm suffering..huhu

Anyway if you ever get to Melaka go and eat our seafood. Prepared fresh and the price is worth it. Ours that day for 12 person barely Rm200++.. with Mr Syazwan swallowing a lot of Nasi Lemak, fishes, squids, prawns and that shell thingy..not cockles but the green colour one..huh..don't want to think..you got the idea la..

Man looking back at my previous post..no wonder i gained weight..should i stop eating or trying new places..nahh...impossible..

Holiday Trip Melaka

Beginning of our journey..

It's kind a funny to quote "Holiday Trip Melaka" since my hometown is in Melaka. I love Melaka and anyone would love it here since its practically a small state. For those who not really use to Melaka well this state is easy. There are several section which tourist need to know in order to save time and save money when touring Melaka.

If you travel by bus to Melaka then there are 2 routes which when you bought your ticket you can request the right one so it can save your time. Ask for bus whom taking Air Keroh routes since it will be closer to Melaka town and places of interest. Another bus routes is through Alor Gajah/Simpang Empat which will waste you another 45 minutes to arrive at Melaka Town /Melaka Central Bus Station. 

If you're going to A Famosa Resort take the bus to Alor Gajah/Simpang Empat. 

Like i said Melaka basicly have 2 areas which people or tourist basically go. Banda Hilir which consist all the historical sites and landscape..the Taming Sari Tower , Melaka River Cruise, Melaka Fort ect..another place is Air Keroh which consist Zoo, Crocodile Farm, Butterfly Park..i mean it's like family paying entertainment things. So a lot of person will just gone to Banda Hilir instead. 

If you're on a budget just get a bus to travel around from Melaka Sentral. The fare is cheaper and you don't have to be expert cause each bus got their label on where they're going. You can even ask the locals which bus to take. 

First stop was A'Famosa Fort. Usually we went up from behind through St Paul Hill cause it is much nearer than the front entrance.

Then we gone down to the Fountain near the Stadhuys. My mom always wanted to take a picture here..

Eating Cendol at the stall beside the river..just across the road from the Fountain.. ha ha..that's me stealing my baby bro ice cream cendol..i only ordered normal one..ceh..

Newly rebuild fort just beside the river..we were walking pass the windmill from the Cendol stall..

Then there's this replica of "Kincir Air" which suppose to be one more historical mark in Melaka..

If you wanted to be in the cruise here's the fare..well it's not expensive and the whole family can afford it..

Well that's about it..surely my facebook album photos got more than 100 pictures which is sillier and alive than this. Ha ha..anyway since we park our car just in front of the Ship then our adventure ends here. This is our day trip to Banda Hilir, Melaka..officially..ha ha..
