Dating Day : Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunter

Yesterday was Wednesday so it's Subway buy 1 free 1 promo and since it means RM16.45 dinner for both of us and it's my fav as well it a done deal. After work we went to Kepong Village Mall Tesco for Subway and also a movie. I've been asking my dear to go and see this movie a long time but he just not interested. But since i want to see it he just go along with it.. he he..

It's a nice action movie but seems bland some how. But it's totally not wasting your ticket money cause actions always better than love story anyway. Full of fights but the weapons seems absurd for that period of time. Anyway movies just supposed to be movies so it's a good one for me. Since the actors also quite well known it's a sort of bonus as well.

My Bro Engagement

Last Friday i was back at hometown for my brother engagement. He'll be married pretty soon also and then i'll have more nieces or nephews..sighh..ha ha anyway it was awesome and i made some of his hantaran also..

Sweet Potato Soup & Sago Chinese Style

Today with the cold weather my dear request me to do this desert. I don't even like to eat it and i don't even know how to do it. Some more we Malays always use coconut milk for our desert. Ha ha..anyway Mr Google always available..so this is my first try..

Ya i know that my soup turn purple..huhu anyway my dear said it's nice ( ambil hati i je kot) so it's ok right for my first try. I bet my mom will laugh her butt off..anyway my first try..

Anyway the soup was made from ginger, sugar and pandan leaves. Inside got Sago, Orange Sweet potato and Purple Sweet Potato hence the colour..

Salam Maulidur Rasul

It's holiday for me today and the day after and after..we just coming back from IKEA to meet my friends and wow it's so pack..luckily we arrived there around 12.30 so there were still ample parking space. When we getting back just now the traffic was quite scary and just wonder how will they find the parking space. 

Anyway we tried Mak Cik Briyani just now at the Curve for lunch, and then my friends bought us a lot  food at IKEA there. I was so full eating those yummy chocolate cake, chicken wings and meatballs. Urghh..

But the crowd..it's not good for me seeing all those people. anyway my holiday today totally not wasted..and now it's raining..so nice being at house and xiu xie le..

BFF's Rendezvous!

Yesterday nite we went out together to dinner. Since we met at my friends workplace near Melawati so either we went to Wangsa Walk ( eww already) or Festival City Mall. So we choose for Festival City Mall since Nurul haven't been there yet.

Guess where we eat yesterday ?

Ha ha cause there are so many places to choose i suggest that we go for Sakura Kristal cause i just loves their mixed grill and knew they will too.. so Nurul ordered Tomyam Meehoon, her ice blended and i ordered mixed grill for me and Zura. She's the light eater in the group. Cause i cough a lot i went for hot chinese tea and Zura Sea Coconut Longan i think. 

Anyway they just loves the food there. Correct right both of u..he he.. anyway Nurul taken some picture with her Iphone 4s ( bragging) and she's a little slow at uploading so just have to wait la..

And thanks Zura for tons of Chocolates she bought for me from Langkawi.. yummeh!

IKEA : Window Shopping with Besties

It's just one of those days we went out having fun together. I just love them. Usually i went to Wangsa Maju area there since one of them live in Cheras while the other in the middle - area Ukay Perdana there. So since i live in Kepong then it makes us even. Anyway this time they suggested IKEA as the place to hang out. 

Last time we seen each other we end up having picnic in Zura's house ( it's raining hu hu) when we plan to go to FRIM and then hang out at Wangsa Walk ( damn boring already going here). So this time we went for window shopping and since Nurul never been to IKEA ( always Mid Valley & KLCC..hu hu) then we made up our mind. 

So after lost couple of times and having me to look them up we finally reach IKEA at 12 something. I parked my car ( i drove since i knew the way) at The Curve. Plenty of parking even on Saturday if you get there around that time. Then we walk to IKEA which just across the street from The Curve.

After that we went to eat at The Street - The Curve at Bumbu Desa..a Sudanese /Indonesian style food. Well for one thing it's quite expensive and the drinks also cost most than the food. Anyway we were more than ok to afford it. After all what's the use of  us working right. It was our first try of that kind of food and it cost us almost RM80 for total bill. For such little portion and expensive drinks.

But then Nurul took over and paid the whole bill. Belanja kami la tu.. 

There's another picture missing which was Asam Pedas Patin.. anyway we enjoyed the food and the company and we're having a blast of time.. wonder where will go for next outings ;)

Subway Sandwich Wednesday Deal

It's so true and so worth it. That day we went to Tesco Kepong and try it out. I just loves Subway and it's healthy too..

We ordered Italian B.M.T for my dear and mine Subway Club or something. So you can actually ordered different sandwich. One set cause this falls under Premium around Rm17.. our bill that day around RM16 something and we got 2, 6" sandwiches ( different kind) and a drink. I think it's worth it..

I think i will drag my dear again for this awesome deal of my fav sandwich.. yummeh!

Pulau Pangkor - Day 3

The last day of our wonderful time here.. we just wake up early in the morning again..take our breakfast at the inn and went for the beach..

We stayed there swimming, taking couple of photos and gets back to the Inn.. around 11 a.m we already ready to leave this place..

Dinner at Pulau Pangkor - Day 2

Ok we were seriously lucky cause we planned to have dinner at Horizon Inn that night since the food sucks at Seafood restaurant in Teluk Nipah but when we got back to Ombak Inn the owner asked us whether we want to join the New Year Barbecue they planned out at only RM48 percouple. That was completely worth it plus it's seafood babeh..

So we said yes, pay up and went to our chalet to refresh first. Ours was number one meaning just next to the dine in place. Really convenient and near since we were pretty lazy bums. Anyway let's check out those awesome fares we ate up that night..yummeh.. 

Our dinner was so romantic with lamp and garden seating..and this was my dear breaking the crab for me..i just sucks at it..and you can see his plate..so full..ha ha

 Anyway for RM48 for both of us we got..

1) Fresh Crab as seen..u know at the seafood there 1 crab cost RM8..
2) Fresh big prawns
3) Squids
4) Fish fillet
5) Mash potatoes - my dear just loves it
6) Lamb
7) Salads
8) Tomyam
9) Soup
10) Ice Cream - Tea- Coffee - Orange Juice

Felt so full and totally worth it..after eating we just went straight back to Chalet and dozed off..we totally celebrated New Year in bed sleeping..ha ha..anyway we are not really the party type..so no pain there..

Pulau Pangkor Round The Island - Day 2

We are so ready to conquer the Island after breakfast. So we took the scooter and started our journey. Honestly i am a bit skeptical cause the last time i touched a scooter was over 3 to 4 years ago. And i never ever bring someone else also. It was the first but we made it. At first we headed to town since the tank kinda empty. We were crossing our finger and hope we make it and we made it. After that we were following the sign board to the Dutch Fort located in Kg Teluk Gedong. It's not much really and i'm not really into historic things like that. I rather be at the beach.

Anyway after around 15minutes we left and headed to Teluk Ketapang. It's just along the way back to Teluk Nipah. We plan to jump into the sea and i'm the only one jumping my feet out of the water.

Warning guys : there's a reason why the beach deserted - it is full of small sea urchin with pointy needles. I learn it the hard way. Got my feet pricked with it. It was painful a bit and the good part it my dear was saved by my foolishness.  While he was chasing a crab i am jumping with one feet up.

So we packed up and dress up and ride our scooter to Teluk Nipah..actually we went over Teluk Nipah until Teluk Dalam..and damn.. Teluk Nipah is the best place to stay for me..

Pulau Pangkor - Day 2

 

Hi ya! Sorry for late continuation on my story cause i caught a cold and resting my butt off so no internet for me on weekend even at house. Luckily i got my dear taking care of me and we went back hometown also so i got all the best treatment and love there is.. sighh.. i think having good family is the best thing in the world ;)

Anyway Day 2 starting with us waking up at dawn and having a hot shower-not me- and going for a morning walk at the beach. So, gear up with swimming suit inside we went for the beach. It was really a nice feeling having a walk together and then i think we went for a dip - did us - i can't remember..he he..anyway around 8 a.m we went back to our chalet for breakfast. They have a nice simple buffet breakfast for patrons for a really cheap price of RM5 per person. Ok, let me remind u again i stayed in Ombak Inn Chalet.

 Basically what they offer..day 3 got more stuff such as mee goreng and salad..

Their Nasi Lemak was awesome. I took it 2 times..they have coffee, tea and orange juice. My dear prefer western style so he took bread, scramble egg and cocktail sausages. Hey for RM5 per person it's really over the top already. Anyway the price only for person staying there. 

Anyway see the 2 motorcycle helmets. That's what we were doing after full of breakfast. Round the island trip. We rent a scooter for a day with the owner which cost us RM40..ka-ching..ka-ching..

Since my darling don't really knew how to operate this scooter then it's up to me the one with kopi-o license to drive..he he..

Dinner at Pulau Pangkor - Day 1

We ate at one of the first seafood restaurant  along the stretch of Teluk Nipah. It was so hot and stuffy even though we sit right next to the beach. The service was so bad and the food was not that good. I think the fish might be not fresh also.

The only nice dish was the squid..Sotong Goreng Tepung

You actually don't have to worry getting lied to about the price since they put it on view when you choose the seafood.

Anyway it's just a bad dinner for us..

Pulau Pangkor - Day 1

Honestly it was a last minute decision since out month long plan to Cherating got to be cancelled because of the flooding. So sad since already booked the hotel and already plan where to eat.

Anyway just imagine our trip in the middle of super peak season and having to try to get another accommodation. It was daunting to say at least. At last we got a nice chalet in Teluk Nipah but instead of 4 days 3 night as earlier plan we have to cut short it to 3 days 2 night only..sob sob..since there's no empty room on Saturday 29.12.2012.. 

So early morning around 8a.m after breakfast on 30th Dec 2012 we drove using the old road Kuala Selangor to Lumut. Around 10 something we arrived and park our car inside a building and rush to get the Ferry ticket. I am so excited cause it's the first time i went to Pangkor even though my mom's hometown really near and we went to Teluk Batik a lot. 

Anyway Ferry Ticket for 2 person = RM20 ( Lumut-Pangkor-Lumut)

We were really lucky cause we got the white Ferry which has it's deck open for passenger and that's where we stayed around 30 minutes ferry ride to Pulau Pangkor. With wind on our face..

It was so syiok! 

When we arrived at the Jetty we straightly found our ride..the pink van taxi which cost us RM15 to Teluk Nipah. Please ignore all those vehicles they offer there for rent cause it's expensive. 

The taxi driver point us to our chalet which by the way is so lovely ;)

Ombak Inn Chalet - Peak rate for standard chalet should be RM150 but i manage to get RM120..so ka-ching, ka-ching for 3 days 2 night RM240.. thanks to Puan Nani giving me the special price ;)

It was rated no 2 in Trip Advisor for really good treatment from the owner and i can tell you that the Chalet itself was really nice. The ambiance and basic amenities such as Ice Box , Air Cond and Hot Water bath included. So worth the price and the Chalet just 2 minutes walk to the beach. For your info all the chalets in Teluk Nipah are across the street from beach. And we were lucky to get Ombak Inn since it's not further inside that we had to walk far for the beach. 

After putting down our stuff we change into swimming suits and headed for lunch and beach. Their eateries really besides the beach only. So first day we eat simple Chicken Rice for both of us plus water and those fried fish balls RM14 something. 

Full already we just walk on the beach and swim until evening.. so relaxing.. i'll continue on our dinner on the next post ya..xoxo
